Katie Fowler

Location:  Online

Katie Fowler has over 10 years experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Kate works with adults and older teens experiencing mental health difficulties such as Anxiety, Stress and Depression. Katie has extensive experience and training in working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and OCD, both of which are areas of interest in her practice.

Katie is a warm and friendly therapist, with a non-judgemental stance.

During CBT therapy Katie will help you understand the unhelpful patterns that are keeping your problem going. You will agree goals for your therapy together and work towards making changes in your thinking and behaviours.

Outside of her work for Mollart CBT she holds a senior management position within the NHS as a Highly Specialist CBT Therapist.

Katie is also an accredited Interpersonal Psychotherapist (IPT). IPT looks at the role of relationships in the maintenance of depression. Therapy can focus on changes in relationships, arguments, bereavements and isolation, with an aim to improve the quality of your relationships and in turn improve your mood.

Katie is particularly passionate about working with clients during the Peri-natal period, as this can have such a huge impact on the mental health of both parents.

For the last 8 years Katie has worked extensively with clients that have Autism, collaborating with the charity sector to provide talking therapy and educational workshops for adults with Neurodiversity.

Katie has a Diploma in High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

She is an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with the British Association of Behavioural Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).  The BABCP is the lead organisation for the theory, practice and development of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in the UK. BABCP Accreditation is the “Gold Standard” that every CBT Psychotherapist is striving to achieve. To achieve accreditation with the BABCP demonstrates that the therapist has met the criteria out

Katie is an accredited Interpersonal Psychotherapy Practitioner with IPT UK
