Dr Theodora Ioannides

Dr Theodora Ioannides is a Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the field of mental health and psychology for over 10 years. Dr Ioannides has worked across different mental health settings, offering both individual and group work with children, adults, older adults, and people with learning disabilities. Dr Ioannides has worked in both community and specialist settings and alongside her work at Mollart CBT Ltd, Dr Ioannides works for the NHS in a community Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service, supporting children and their families. In this work, Dr Ioannides has run social skills and anxiety management groups for young people with autism.
Dr Ioannides is experienced in supporting people with a range of difficulties including depression and anxiety, phobias, OCD, and relationship difficulties. Dr Ioannides also works with people who are exploring their gender identity and sexual orientation, providing a safe and non-judgemental space to think through wherever a client is in their gender journeys. In their private work, Dr Ioannides also works with people who are exploring different relationship styles.
Dr Ioannides works using an integrative approach, incorporating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practice, and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to work through what clients bring to sessions. Dr Ioannides also works systemically, meaning that they consider all parts of the system around an individual. Dr Ioannides is also trained in Non-Violent Resistance as a parenting approach, and in their NHS work supports parents to reconcile their relationship and re-establish their parental presence when this has been lost.
Dr Ioannides provides a warm and nurturing therapeutic space and believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. Dr Ioannides aims to work with the client's goals and wishes, to build a space that is collaborative, human and trusting.
Dr Ioannides holds a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East London.
Dr Ioannides is a registered Practitioner Psychologist with The Health Care Professional Council (HCPC), which monitors and regulates the practice of Clinical Psychologists.
