Experience
Dr Gabrielle Erhardt is a Counselling Psychologist with several years of experience working across a range of settings including mental health services in the private sector, NHS primary and secondary care, and the third sector.
Dr Erhardt has experience working with a range of psychological difficulties including low mood, recurrent depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, interpersonal difficulties and has a particular interest in working with PTSD, complex PTSD, and developmental trauma.

She also has specialist experience working with individuals in the perinatal period and has worked in an NHS perinatal service providing psychological therapy to individuals and groups who have experienced birth trauma, pregnancy loss, postnatal depression, anxiety, domestic violence, childhood sexual abuse, OCD, and intrusive thoughts.
Dr Erhardt’s therapeutic style integrates a range of therapeutic modalities and is flexible in approach in accordance with the needs of the client. Her approach draws on thinking from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), relational psychodynamic theory, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion focused therapy (CFT), schema therapy, and person-centred approaches.
Dr Erhardt seeks to create a collaborative, trusting and supportive environment that provides a reflective space to support individuals to foster greater self-understanding and develop practical strategies for change.

Dr Erhardt has significant experience as a researcher and a university lecturer. She conducted her doctoral level research exploring experiences of relational bullying and has published further research exploring eating behaviours as well as conducting service evaluations. She is an experienced peer reviewer and is an editor of Sage’s Health Psychology journal.
Alongside her work with Mollart CBT Ltd. Dr Erhardt works in an NHS secondary care integrated recovery service where she works with individuals presenting with complex PTSD, recurrent depression, anxiety, and OCD.
Qualifications
Dr Erhardt has a strong academic background, achieving a first-class degree from Durham University, an MA distinction, a distinction in her master’s MSc in psychology and a doctorate in Counselling Psychology.

Dr Erhardt is a registered registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC), which monitors and regulates the practice of Counselling Psychologists.

She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with The British Psychological Society (BPS). The BPS is the representative body for psychology and psychologists in the UK. Practicing certificates are only issued to Chartered Psychologists, which is the benchmark of professional recognition for a psychologist. It reflects the highest standards of knowledge and expertise.
