Dr Natasha Thomson

Dr Natasha Thomson is currently on maternity leave

Dr Thomson is a Counselling Psychologist. She predominately works individually with adults delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), however she also integrates other approaches such as Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) when this may be beneficial. Additionally, Dr Thomson has experience of working with those with interpersonal difficulties through drawing on a Schema-Focused Therapy approach. A collaborative and warm therapeutic relationship is always integral to her practice.


Alongside her work at Mollart CBT, Dr Thomson is part of an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) NHS service delivering evidence based psychological therapy to those with mental health difficulties.

Having worked within NHS mental health services since 2013, Dr Thomson has supported those experiencing a range of psychological difficulties such as depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. She also has extensive experience of working with individuals with long-term physical health conditions including diabetes and chronic fatigue.

Dr Thomson wrote her doctoral thesis on clinician’s experience of delivering CBT to individuals with OCD.


Dr Thomson holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.

Dr Thomson is a registered Practitioner Psychologist with The Health Care Professional Council (HCPC), which monitors and regulates the practice of Counselling Psychologists.
